The South London Singers are a small chamber choir based in Beckenham in the south-east London borough of Bromley. We are a well-established part of the local music scene and give up to four concerts every year, performing a wide selection of music from the last 600 years.
We welcome keen singers and currently have vacancies in all parts, but particularly basses and tenors. If you are interested in joining us, please come along to one of our rehearsals any time, without obligation. You can try us out for a week or two and maybe take an audition with our Musical Director. Find out more about us here. To learn about becoming a member of the SLS, click here.
As we all know, singing is good for you, so just read on and see if singing with us is an activity that you might enjoy. We're especially keen to welcome musical men.
The South London Singers are very eager to recruit basses and tenors to their ranks. If you enjoy getting down to the musical depths or hitting the high notes, there could be a place in our choir with your name on it. Pop into one of our regular Monday night rehearsals at Beckenham Methodist Church or give us a call on 020 8656 2815. For our full contact details, click here. OPEN REHEARSALS. Although prospective new members are welcome to attend a rehearsal at any time, we do have open rehearsals, to which all members of the general public, including singers from other choirs, can come along. Our open rehearsals usually take place on the two or three Mondays following our most recent concert.
Saturday 1 June 2019
St George's Church, Beckenham, 7.45pm
The South London Singers will be conducted by Marcus Wibberley.
Programme to be confirmed nearer the time.
Full information on this concert will be available in due course from our Concerts Page.
To book for one of our concerts, please call the South London Singers Booking Office on 020 8656 2815.
We usually publish a brochure containing details about future concerts in late August or early September each year. Unfortunately this has not proved possible for the current season. For up-to-date details of all our concerts please visit our Concerts page.
Staging concerts is not cheap, even for a small local choir. While we keep costs as low as we can, it's hard to maintain the musical quality of our performances through finance from choir subs and audience receipts alone. You can help us by joining our support group of Friends and making a donation. To find out more, please click here.
